Memphis is synonymous with music.  Virtually every genre of music is associated with the city, particularly blues, rock and gospel.   Out of Memphis came the talent of such greats as Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison and B.B.
