Is there a difference between a tour and a vacation package?  Some might say it depends on the destination.  Put your knowledge to the test on the USTOA’s little quiz found on their Web site, www.ustoa.com.

Don’t have time to explore the USTOA’s site, but I’m betting the difference is that on a tour you, well, tour — that is, you move around. A package, you can sit tight — drinks and rental car are included with your hotel room, but you don’t tour.

You get a package for a resort in Cancun or you hire a guide and tour the Yucatan Peninsula. I prefer tours.
